Evening all,

I’m Mikey, and I’ve put Cross Reference UK together as a proper UK-focused place for frequency reference, forum chat, manuals/software links, and news — without the usual forum noise and without encouraging anything that steps outside Ofcom rules.

A bit about me: I’ve been around UK VHF/UHF listening and amateur radio for years. I’m big on doing it properly — ukrepeater.net for boxes, RSGB band plans, BrandMeister etiquette, and keeping scanner use in the “general reception / hobby radio” lane.

What I hope this site becomes

  • A clean frequency database you can search, favourite, and help improve
  • Forum threads that stay useful (Scanning 101, equipment, regions)
  • Honest news when Ofcom / RSGB / networks change something that affects us
  • Download links that point at official tools (CHIRP, SDR#, Ofcom docs) — not dodgy PDF farms

If you’re new: say hello, tell us your corner of the UK, and whether you’re receive-only, licensed, or studying. If you’ve been around the hobby a while: park some local knowledge in the regional boards.

Glad you’re here — 73
Mikey

Quick tip while you’re settling in: start with Frequencies, then Scanning 101, then your UK Regions board. And please use Add frequency if you’ve got a solid amateur/broadcast listing with mode, place, and (for DMR) TG / colour code / Radio ID where known.
